In response to customer demand, Siemens PLM Software Education Services developed a certification program for Solid Edge professionals. This program has been designed and structured similar to professional certification programs in other industries that are in place to validate a users professional qualifications.

The Solid Edge Certification consists of two parts, Knowledge Base section and Skill Base section.

Knowledge Base Section 2 hours

The Knowledge Base section is an online web based test. It consists of theory questions that are multiple choice and true/false. During this portion of the certification the Solid Edge application is not available to the participant.

Skill Base Section 2 hours

Solid Edge Version 19 is used for the skill based test and is also an online web based test. An online test booklet is made available to the participant. The participant follows the instructions from the test booklet, performs the work in Solid Edge and then answers corresponding questions.

As part of the Solid Edge Certification program, Siemens PLM Software Education Services has developed an online assessment tool that is valid for all licensed Solid Edge users.
